The Institute for Environment, Peace and Development (IUFE) works as a think tank in the sense of sustainable development along the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its elementary tasks include knowledge transfer as well as education and communication work in the areas of sustainability, environmental protection, peacekeeping and development aid.
The values and dimensions of sustainability are understood as a system of coordinates for a fair balance between ecological, social and economic needs and interests. The topics that IUFE works on include, for example:
