Bioeconomy Austria is pleased to report on the success of its network partner, Kompetenzzentrum Holz GmbH, which has won the ÖGUT Environmental Award 2022 in the category “With Research & Innovation for Circular Economy” with the SusBind project. The award ceremony was organized by another network partner, ÖGUT. n addition, SusBind was awarded the 3rd prize at the Houskapreis 2023.
In the SusBind project, an innovative bio-based adhesive was developed for wood-based materials such as particleboard and MDF panels, replacing conventional formaldehyde-based binders. This significant advancement contributes to bioeconomy, green chemistry, and a risk-minimized circular economy.
