Environment Agency Austria

To ensure that the transformation towards a wood-based bioeconomy takes place in consideration of planetary boundaries, the experts of Umweltbundesamt – Environment Agency Austria analyse the ecological framework conditions and their effects on the environment. With this contribution to the project, the Environment Agency Austria provides an important basis for decision-making. Therefore, challenges at the interface of environment, economy and society can be met in a foresighted way, risks can be identified and the opportunities of the bioeconomy in Austria can be used in a sustainable manner.

As Austria´s most important environmental expert organisation and one of Europe´s leading environmental consultants the Environment Agency Austria stands for a transformation of the economy and society to ensure sustainable living. The experts provide the basis for decision making at local, regional and international level. The Environment Agency Austria is committed to transparency and impartiality and engages in dialogue with politics, administration, business, science and civil society.
