In the course of the International Wood Fair Klagenfurt, Holzcluster Steiermark was present at the Innovation Area together with Business Upper Austria (BIZ UP) on behalf of the Austria-wide initiative Bioeconomy Austria. In the spirit of the bioeconomy, visitors to the fair were able to learn about and see showcases of lightweight wood construction materials in addition to general information about the initiative such as participating project partners. Together with representatives of the project partners Innovationszentrum W.E.I.Z., Glanzstoff, LEAN MC, VIF and TU Graz from the COMET project CARpenTiER, an aircraft landing gear hatch and a side impact beam made of wood were exhibited. Away from the stand itself, time was used to make contact with companies at the wood fair and to find points of contact in the field of bioeconomy.
