The Bavarian Bioeconomy Council advises the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy on the further development of the bioeconomy. As an independent advisory body, it supports the implementation and evaluation of the Bavarian bioeconomy strategy Future.Bioeconomy.Bavaria.
The Council of Experts was first established in 2015, appointed by the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry. The currently 11 members from science and industry are committed to a biobased lifestyle and economy in Bavaria and beyond. In the third term of office, the implementation of the Bavarian Bioeconomy Strategy, in the development of which the SVB was significantly involved, is one of the core tasks. In addition, the Council of Experts endeavors to promote social dialogue on the bioeconomy and to bring together the various stakeholders.
