When we talk about forests and value chains, we rarely share the same images in mind. This is exactly where the campaign Vielfalt braucht Bewirtschaftung (“Diversity Needs Management”) comes in – with shared visuals and shared messages.
In 2026, the campaign enters its second round, once again highlighting the diverse contributions along the forestry–wood–bioeconomy value chain. The official kick-off for this second phase of the campaign took place on 30 January 2026.
The spirit of collaboration was clearly tangible at the launch event: partners from across the entire value chain were present to jointly set the next stage of implementation in motion. In three focus groups, the key building blocks of the rollout were developed – ranging from public relations and media production to stakeholder dialogue and the planned innovation hackathon Hack the Future.
The kick-off demonstrated the strong willingness to join forces, connect perspectives and move forward together in a consistent and coordinated way – ensuring that the value chain’s contributions become visible and are recognised as drivers of a sustainable future.
Holzcluster Steiermark has been a strong campaign partner from the very beginning – and now Bioeconomy Austria is also significantly involved; both organisations play a key role in advancing the information campaign.
Stronger together: interested partners are warmly invited to get involved – we look forward to the exchange. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Münzer, Campaign Lead of Vielfalt braucht Bewirtschaftung.
