On 29 April, biz-up, within the framework of Bioeconomy Austria, invites stakeholders to the event “Closing the Loop: Pathways to a Circular Textile Economy.” The event will focus on key topics such as regulatory frameworks, digitalisation, recycling and sorting processes, and the requirements for establishing an effective circular economy in the textile sector.
Practical insights from innovative companies and an interactive workshop format will demonstrate how circular and nature-based solutions can already be successfully implemented today. Participants will also have the opportunity to collaboratively explore new approaches for a future-proof textile economy in Austria.
The textile industry is currently undergoing a profound transformation. The transition from a linear to a circular economic model is a central objective of the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. In the future, textile products are expected to be more durable, repairable and easier to recycle—a transformation that affects the entire value chain.
This expert event will highlight the key action areas for a sustainable textile economy and provide a platform for exchange, knowledge transfer and the development of new ideas.
