What is it about?
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) continues to raise many questions. Although the original start date for its application at European level has been postponed and discussions are currently underway regarding simplifications and adjustments to specific obligations, the regulation’s core objectives remain unchanged: companies along the wood and bioenergy supply chains will be required to comply with new due diligence and documentation requirements.
This transitional phase is causing uncertainty in practice. The focus is less on the fundamental goals of the EUDR and more on questions related to its concrete application: What exactly applies? Who is affected? And how can the regulation be implemented in day-to-day business operations?
Against this background, IG Holzkraft, in cooperation with ProPellets Austria, invites you to a webinar addressing key questions related to the EUDR.
Programme
In two expert presentations, the EUDR will be examined from different perspectives:
- Dr Tim Pettenkofer (Fachverband Holzenergie) will provide an overview of the regulation from the perspective of the wood and bioenergy sector, focusing on affected stakeholders, scope and boundaries, as well as open questions along the supply chains.
- Florentin Morick (Brüning Group) will complement this perspective with practical insights from a company case study, illustrating how businesses are currently dealing with the requirements of the EUDR and preparing for their implementation.
Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions during the registration process or to raise them directly during the webinar. The access link will be sent by email a few days prior to the event.
