The Green Tech Valley is the #1 tech hub for 100% climate protection and circular economy in the south of Austria. More than 300 companies and research institutions form an ecosystem here that combines technological development and innovation with ecological responsibility. The focus is on joint research and development projects, ranging from renewable energies and environmental technologies to solutions for efficient resource use. Universities, start-ups, and established industrial companies work closely together, enabling knowledge, experience, and new ideas to be quickly transformed into concrete applications. The Green Tech Valley acts as a driving force for cooperation and creates spaces where business, science, and politics can exchange ideas and build strong collaborations.
As part of “Bioeconomy Austria,” the Green Tech Valley focuses in particular on renewable gases as well as bio-based solutions for Carbon Capture, Utilization/Storage (CCU/CCS). The project aims to launch targeted initiatives that support project development in the field of research and development and lay the foundation for further applications. The emphasis is on supporting innovative initiatives as well as promoting cooperation between companies, research institutions, and other partners in order to advance the bioeconomy in Austria sustainably.
