Innovation Salzburg is the innovation and business location agency for the region of Salzburg. As the first point of contact for our regional companies and research institutions, we strengthen Salzburg as a hub for business, research, technology, and innovation by fostering cooperation and networks at the regional, national, and international levels.
In the field of bioeconomy, we build on our long-standing activities in alpine construction, structural materials made from renewable and bio-based resources (smart materials), sustainable procurement, resource efficiency, and circular economy. The regional hubs established for these topics serve as an “idea workshop” for innovations along the entire value chain—addressing both material and energy-related challenges. Within the project “Bioeconomy Austria 2025–2028”, we aim to focus particularly on supporting companies that are developing and launching circular products and are seeking assistance in turning their ideas into reality.
