HBLFA Tirol
Rotholz 50, 6200 Strass im Zillertal
On Thursday, July 16, 2026, proHolz Tirol invites you to the Branchentag Holz & Summer Festival at HBLFA Tirol in Rotholz. Under the motto “Rethinking Wood – Opportunities of the Bioeconomy”, the afternoon will focus on a raw material that is becoming increasingly important for a sustainable economy: wood.
What role will wood play in a changing, sustainable economy in the future? What new opportunities will this create for our industry? Wood is one of the most important raw materials of the bioeconomy. This year’s Branchentag Holz will highlight the opportunities offered by this economic concept – extending beyond the traditional forestry and timber sectors. New perspectives will be presented, and innovations will be showcased. Campus Rotholz provides the ideal setting for this event: as an educational and research location, it brings the bioeconomy to life every day.
At the beginning of the event, visitors will have the opportunity to tour either HBLFA Tirol or LLA Rotholz. Afterwards, the Branchentag Holz will focus on key future issues for the timber industry. Presentations and discussions will explore current developments, present innovations, and showcase concrete examples from practice, research, and business. Topics will range from sustainable wood use and the bioeconomy to digital transformation and new applications for bio-based materials. To conclude the event, proHolz Tirol, together with Holzcluster and the cooperation groups htt15 – Holzbau Team Tirol, Baumstark, Holzfenster – natürlich aus Tirol, as well as the Netzwerk HolzBauPlanung, invites participants to a joint summer festival.
Registration is open until July 9 via the following link:
