As part of Bioeconomy Austria, Standortagentur Tirol is currently conducting a survey on the use of bio-based materials. The objective of the survey is to gain a better understanding of how bio-based raw materials are currently being utilized by companies in Tyrol and to identify future potentials for their application.
The survey targets manufacturing companies across all sectors based in Tyrol, including industrial, commercial, and craft enterprises. It is particularly relevant for companies already working with bio-based materials in products, packaging, or other applications, as well as for businesses planning to integrate such materials into their operations in the future.
What will happen with the results?
The survey results will be presented in summer and autumn 2026 and discussed with relevant stakeholders. The aim is to derive concrete measures to further strengthen the bioeconomy and circular economy in Tyrol.
The findings are intended to support companies in increasing the use of bio-based materials, identifying new raw material sources, and strengthening regional value creation. In addition, the survey seeks to contribute to reducing dependency on fossil-based resources and promoting the integration of regionally available bio-based materials into production processes.
Through this initiative, Standortagentur Tirol, together with regional partner organizations, aims to establish an important basis for a sustainable and future-oriented bioeconomy in Tyrol.

The survey is open until 8 June 2026. Completing the survey takes approximately 10 minutes. Every participation makes a valuable contribution to the further development of the bioeconomy in Tyrol.
