GBS2020 goes virtual!

The Global Bioeconomy Summit 2020 will be held in an innovative & interactive virtual format.
The objectives and main content of the conference will remain the same. The development of a sustainable bioeconomy was never more essential than today. We are committed to bringing the global bioeconomy comunity together and ensuring broad participation.
While meeting in person is always best, ensuring a safe and globally fair event is equally important.
The plenary sessions, the debates and the workshops will include change-makers from around the world and they will remain the key elements of the summit. There will be format adjustments to accommodate to the virtual concept.
- Plenary sessions & debates will be during the 19th to 20th of November.
- Interactive workshops will kick off the conference between the 16th to 18th of November. (guidance to workshop leaders regarding formats and time zone aspects will be sent in due course).
- Exhibitions & virtual meeting rooms including networking round tables will be organized from the 18th to 20th of November.
- A final communiqué will be prepared and published as known from GBS2015 and GBS2018.
With the registration starting in September, participants will have the opportunity to create a unique networking hub for the global bioeconomy community before, during and after GBS2020.
A single-sign on platform will ensure that all participants from around the globe will have access to all elements of the Summit. We not only look forward to new and engaging ways of virtually interacting, but also to expand our outreach and ensure that GBS2020 output is accessible is a wide audience.
