The initiative forms part of the broader&nbsp;Country-Led Initiative (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmluk.gv.at\/en\/coli\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COLI<\/a>) process, which includes a series of activities supporting the work of the&nbsp;United Nations Forum on Forests (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/esa\/forests\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/esa\/forests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNFF)<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fao.org\/home\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAO<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Global Summit \u201cAdvancing Sustainable Forest-based Bioeconomy Approaches\u201d&nbsp;will serve as a key platform for international dialogue and cooperation on forest-based bioeconomy strategies. Discussions will address central topics such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scaling up financing&nbsp;for sustainable forest-based value chains<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovative and resilient supply chains&nbsp;for forest products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agroforestry systems&nbsp;as integral components of a circular bioeconomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainable wood construction&nbsp;and its role in climate-smart development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The outcomes of the CLI-ASFBA and related COLI activities will feed into the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/esa\/forests\/events\/the-21st-session-of-united-nations-forum-on-forests\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNFF21<\/a>&nbsp;session and the&nbsp;28th Session of FAO\u2019s Committee on Forestry (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fao.org\/forestry\/committee-on-forestry\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COFO28<\/a>), contributing to the global agenda on sustainable forest management and bioeconomy innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Venue:<\/strong>&nbsp;Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace, Sch\u00f6nbrunner Schlo\u00dfstra\u00dfe 47, 1130 Vienna, Austria<br><strong>Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;23.\u201325.
