The brochure provides comprehensive data on energy consumption, renewable energies, and in particular on the use of biomass in Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facts and Figures on a Quarter Century of Bioenergy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It offers a sound data foundation for anyone interested in the development and utilization of bioenergy in Austria. Since the year 2000, the use of bioenergy has doubled. In 2023\/24, for the first time, more bioenergy was used for residential space heating than heating oil and natural gas combined. District heating, 55% of which is generated from biomass, is not included in this figure.
