Their joint project &#8220;LIFE TREATS&#8221; has been supported by the LIFE 2022 programme with a \u20ac10 million EU grant to further develop the recycling of textile waste on an industrial scale. Lenzing makes a crucial contribution here with its expertise in recycling and its innovative REFIBRA\u2122 technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to this project, it will be possible in the future to process and recycle a variety of complex coloured textiles. As part of this project, which starts in the second quarter of 2023 and will run for four and a half years, a capacity to produce 60,000 tonnes of pulp will be created at S\u00f6dra&#8217;s plant in M\u00f6rrum, which will consist of 50 percent recycled material and 50 percent renewable pulp from sustainable forestry.
