Bioeconomy Austria has developed requirements and measures to promote the wood-based bioeconomy in an extensive stakeholder process. In 2022, three workshops were held with representatives from the wood value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the concluding Innovation Summit on May 23, 2023, a co-creation approach was chosen to jointly develop concrete measures to support the development of the wood-based bioeconomy with 15 selected participants from the fields of business, science, politics, society, and various clusters and networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participants were divided into three groups to develop and detail the measures in smaller teams. In line with the co-creation, all areas were represented in the groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tiny House<\/strong> as a modular solution for accommodation options in educational institutions: Implementation of a pilot and evaluation of extended areas of application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bioeconomy Education Initiative<\/strong> to provide teaching materials on the bioeconomy from primary school age: The measure already being implemented as part of the wood initiative with regard to training is the starting point for the (awareness) Bioeconomy Education Initiative, or it is also supplemented or expanded by elements of the project idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Leading project<\/strong> of circular-oriented bioeconomy as a successor to the wood initiative with a focus on biorefinery, circular construction, and lightweight construction: A large-scale research program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bioeconomy Competence Network<\/strong> as a central service point: Bioeconomy Austria will assume this role by 2025 at the latest, after the network setup is completed and established as a cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The measures are particularly designed to provide politics with concrete suggestions for promoting the wood-based bioeconomy and to strengthen the measures proposed in the Austrian Wood Initiative. In addition, Bioeconomy Austria will prioritize the implementation of these measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
