Each edition provides a concise overview of selected <strong>bio-based raw materials<\/strong>, exploring their historical development, current applications, future potential and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">STRAW: From a Traditional Material to a Key Resource<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Straw has been a versatile material for centuries. Today, it is primarily used as a source of soil organic matter and as animal bedding, or as a building material. In the future, it could become increasingly important as a feedstock for bio-based materials, chemicals and fuels. However, straw is not available in unlimited quantities.
