{"id":11453,"date":"2026-07-27T17:19:49","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T15:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bioeconomy-austria.at\/?p=11453"},"modified":"2026-07-28T08:40:34","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T06:40:34","slug":"circular-innovation-award-austria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bioeconomy-austria.at\/en\/2026\/07\/27\/circular-innovation-award-austria\/","title":{"rendered":"Circular Innovation Award Austria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/circulareconomyforum.at\/ciaa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Circular Innovation Award Austria (CIAA)<\/strong> <\/a>is a newly established Austrian innovation award recognising companies that create measurable environmental, social and economic value through circular business models, technologies and partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award aims to raise the profile of pioneering Austrian companies, showcase best practices and strengthen Austria\u2019s competitiveness and resource efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested organisations can submit their projects in one of five categories until <strong>31 July 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Five Categories for Circular Innovation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Entries may be submitted in the following main categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Circular Industry Innovation:<\/strong> Circular solutions implemented on an industrial scale<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Circular Business Model Innovation:<\/strong> Innovative business models based on circular economy principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technological Circularity Breakthrough:<\/strong> New technologies that advance circularity and material efficiency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Circular Startup of the Year:<\/strong> Young companies with a circular core business model<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Circular Collaboration Award:<\/strong> Cross-sector partnerships with systemic impact<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>An international panel of experts will assess the submissions based on criteria including their degree of innovation, environmental impact, economic viability, scalability and contribution to regional value creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Circular Innovation Award Austria is held under the patronage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmluk.gv.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Can Apply?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is open to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8211; Large companies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; Small and medium-sized enterprises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; Start-ups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; Collaborations and cross-sector partnerships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must demonstrate a clear connection to Austria.
