{"id":10915,"date":"2026-05-11T14:17:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T12:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bioeconomy-austria.at\/?p=10915"},"modified":"2026-05-11T14:18:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T12:18:08","slug":"nordische-circular-economy-delegation-in-der-steiermark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bioeconomy-austria.at\/en\/2026\/05\/11\/nordische-circular-economy-delegation-in-der-steiermark\/","title":{"rendered":"Nordic Delegation in Styria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the \u201c<strong>Nordic\u2013Austrian Circular Futures Exchange 2026<\/strong>\u201d, held from <strong>5 to 6 May 2026<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioeconomy-austria.at\/en\/projektpartner\/green-tech-valley\/\">Green Tech Valley Cluster<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioeconomy-austria.at\/en\/projektpartner\/hc-steiermark\/\">Holzcluster Steiermark GmbH<\/a>, in cooperation with the <a href=\"https:\/\/circulareconomyforum.at\/\">Circular Economy Forum Austria<\/a>, organised an international and interdisciplinary <strong>expert exchange with a Nordic delegation in Styria<\/strong>. Led by the Swedish and Finnish embassies, representatives from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland were welcomed to Reininghaus to discuss <strong>sustainable innovations<\/strong> and <strong>forward-looking approaches to the circular economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insights into Timber Construction, Lightweight Design and Circular Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme opened with Rupert Richter-Trummer (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kages.at\/\">KAGES<\/a>), who provided valuable insights into timber construction and circular economy approaches within Styrian hospital infrastructure. The subsequent networking lunch focused on exchange, new perspectives and international networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the second part of the programme, Thomas Krenke from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wood-vision-lab.com\/\">Wood Vision Lab<\/a> presented the innovation journey of lightweight construction using wood as a raw material \u2013 ranging from applications in mobility and industry to the development of the Wood Vision Lab innovation laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A sincere thank you to all participants for the inspiring day and the valuable international dialogue on
