As part of this year\u2019s Tyrolean Hausbau & Energie<\/em> trade fair, proHolz Tirol<\/a> presented an exhibition on the topic of the wood-based bioeconomy, thereby highlighting the importance of the regional forestry and wood sector. The aim of the exhibition was to show visitors the key contribution that wood, as a renewable raw material, can make to a sustainable economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forest\u2013Wood Value Chain in Focus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition was part of the \u201cHolz ist genial\u201d (\u201cWood is Brilliant\u201d<\/a>) area set up at the trade fair, a joint exhibition space created by and for Tyrolean wood companies. Various businesses and organisations from the sector presented themselves here, offering exciting insights into the wide range of possibilities of wood as a material. An extensive programme of talks and accompanying events complemented the exhibition and provided additional opportunities to learn about current developments and innovations in the wood sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire forest\u2013wood value chain was at the centre of the proHolz Tirol exhibition: from forestry to the wood industry and timber trade, through to carpentry and joinery businesses, numerous actors work together to process the natural raw material, construction material and versatile resource wood as efficiently and appropriately as possible into high-quality semi-finished and finished products. In the context of the bioeconomy, this cooperation plays a key role, as it uses sustainable resources and strengthens regional economic cycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interactive Activities for Trade Fair Visitors<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Complementing the exhibition, which showcased various applications of wood, proHolz Tirol also organised a competition for trade fair visitors. Interest was high: many guests took the opportunity to learn more and at the same time test their knowledge by answering three quiz questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among all participants who answered the questions correctly, a winner was subsequently drawn. She received a special prize \u2013 a fruit bowl made of Tyrolean Swiss stone pine, filled with fresh fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The successful combination of information, exhibition, competition and accompanying programme led to many engaging conversations and once again demonstrated the strong interest in sustainable solutions based on the material wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
